Base pricing for interior painting
Sometimes, this takes care of everything. (Keep in mind that estimating formulas are complex due to many variables).
Interior per SQFT example:
Multiply a roomʼs perimeter by the ceiling height to find the wall area.
Cost Plus Fixed Fee
This common pricing method in the painting industry covers labor, materials, and overhead costs. While this contract type is usually not flexible, it allows for additional work at an agreed upon fee. Change orders can be included when the new service cost matches the original item cost.
Time & Materials
This method is frequently used for high-risk projects. These are jobs where the scope of work isn't precise, or clients anticipate making changes.
A la Carte services
These are your picks from the service menu. They tend to linger on your “to-do” list. Perhaps it's a bathroom ceiling that needs repainting, baseboards that could use some gap caulking, or a fence thirsting for a fresh coat of stain. Depending on the job details, these can be subject to various pricing structures.
Rush services
We define these as all service calls requested to be performed within two to three weeks. This will vary depending on how busy we are, and we may not always be able to accommodate such short notice. Make sure you schedule early to avoid incurring higher costs.
